Dear Max, I am a teen who have realized that I am gay. About three months ago, suddenly I had sex with my friend, one of my close friend. I didn't know that he was gay too, it just happened. I don't know but suddenly I had his dick in my mouth. We didn't do "hardcore" like anal sex, etc. We just had oral sex. He said that was the first time for him. So it was the real first time for both of us. But I felt very guilty then, because I grew up in a Catholic family. So I promised myself not to do it again. But I still worried about my health. Can I get infected by some diseases, like HIV/AIDS? Can I check my health with a doctor? Can HIV be detected before it becomes AIDS? Because that was the first time for both of us, can I? Please answer, because I am very worry right now, thank you very much.

ANSWER:
If it was really the first time for both of you, you have nothing to worry about. However, you should never trust anyone but yourself. Men are known to lie just for sex. They may tell you is the first time but it is not true. So you should always protect yourself by wearing a condom. You can go to free clinics or to your doctor to get tested.
