Is This Epidemic A Lie? Print E-mail
Written by Max, on 11-19-2007

I have not had true sex with a man for 25 years, I want to so bad, and I am good looking, but I am afraid of AIDS. I don't trust anyone!  Everyone who is gay, has told me they are HIV negative.  Is this epidemic a lie, or could it be that everyone else is lying to me. My question, is there a way to meet HIV- men??? and to know????

ANSWER:

Unfortunately, AIDS is not a lie.  I have seen many good people and good friends die from this horrible disease.   Not only gay people die from it, also women, straight men, children and old people.  You will never know who is HIV positive and sometimes the people with the HIV virus don't even know it.  Why?  Fear is the main factor.  Some people rather not think about it and they prefer not knowing if they are infected.   They think that if they don't know is not really there.  The sad part is that they live their lives telling people and thinking they are HIV negative when they really are not. They infect people without knowing and they put their lives in danger by not getting any treatment.  So when you meet people and they tell you they are HIV negative, know that they may be infected without knowing it. So always have safe sex no matter how good the other person looks.  There is no way to know how has the HIV virus and who doesn't.  There's no way to know if people are lying about it or if they really are ignoring the disease.  What can you do? get informed about AIDS. Find out how to get tested. Find out how to have safe sex.  There are a lot of new medicines out there that are working for people with HIV. It is important to get tested early so you can start treatment before the disease advances to dangerous levels.  If you are HIV negative and want to stay that way, always wear a condom so infected sperm or blood does not get into your blood. Safe sex is not always effective but it helps a lot.   One last thing, please  do not judge people ( I am not saying you are) who has this terrible disease because they are just innocent victims of this horrible disease.   I am including a link so you can read more about it.  Be safe!
