Star Trek - the gay webisode

A clip from the Star Trek web-based fan series Star Trek Phase II with a gay story line involving Captain Kirk's nephew Peter Kirk and another male crew member aboard the Enterprise has been released on the Internet.

The webisode is based completely on an original tossed script written by long-time Star Trek screenwriter David Gerrold, and actors Bobby Rice and Evan Fowler play the roles of Lt. Peter Kirk and Alex Freeman respectively, and was directed by David.

Steamy!

This is disgusting and awful. It brings shame to Star Trek.

2. Looks fine to me.
As a long time viewer of the Star Trek shows, I am pleased to see this short segment of male/male bonding. It reminds me why I like the show in general. I'd like to see more series that could write this type of scene into their scripts.

3. what there's no Gays in Space....hummm
Oh please....it ruins Star Trek....First of all get a life and what you don't think there will be gay men and women in Space....it should have happened sooner....believe me there won't the biotry in the future.....that there is in the 21st Centry....that's what is really sad here!

4. Fan? Sure!
Ron Fairfield clearly isn't the Star Trek fan he seems to claim he is. If he was, he'd know that in the Star Trek vision of the future, everyone is accepted for who - or what! - they are. And that includes sexuality.
And if you want to get really Trekkie about it, let me quote the Vulcan principle of IDIC (Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations)... that it's everyone's differences that make the universe the wonder that it is.

5. Kudos to Phase II
8) I agree wholeheartedly with LittleBlade. Star Trek stays around for just that reason of IDIC. Gene Roddenberry always meant to have a show where EVERYONE is accepted on equal footing. I guess if Ron felt it was disgusting to film that scene then I guess he might as well as be disgusting when Jadzia Dax locked lips with another woman on DS(. All I can say is get over your high mindedness. Star Trek accepts everyone regardless of Sexual orientation and/or gender.
