| Boy George: I Wasn't Going to Kill Him |
Boy George admitted to police that he chained Norwegian male escort Audun Carlsen to his bed in an attempt to keep Carlsen from escaping, but denied accusations that he was planning to kill Carlsen. "I absolutely admit I had him in the handcuffs, so he wouldn't go anywhere while I checked the computer. I certainly wasn't going to kill him, that's hardly going to do my career any good is it?" George told the police. George and Carlsen met for a pornographic photo shoot after having connected on the Internet but the pair fell into a disagreement when George started suspecting Carlsen was hacking into his computer. The court heard Carlsen's testemony last week where he accused George of chaining him up on their second meeting at the singer's east London apartment and beating him with a chain. George admitted to police that he had hit Carlsen before, but that Carlsen wanted it. "You can't spank anyone if they don't want you to," he said, asserting that on the occasion in question he had not punched or assaulted the escort. "Those are serious handcuffs, there was no reason to beat him up when I'd put him in those," he said. "I was just so angry. It wasn't about me doing anything, I just wanted to make sure he did not leave my house." Ravindra Kumar, the doctor who examined Carlsen after he managed to escape from George's apartment, told the court that Carlsen had five injuries, including a cut on his left forearm and bruising on the back of his head and right arm. Kumar also said: "His face was swollen, especially around the eyelids, both eyelids. The whole face was puffed." Last update: 12-02-2008 16:12
