LAS VEGAS, NE  --  Four years after retiring, German-born illusionists Siegfried Fischbacher and Roy Horn say they may soon be returning to the stage life they love.

"A good magician never lets the cat out of the bag," Horn told Las Vegas Review-Journal Friday, referring to a possible return to showbiz for the couple. "Act surprised when you hear about it."

The magicians' show went into hiatus in October 2003 when Roy Horn was critically injured on stage by a tiger. The tiger sank its teeth into Horn's neck and dragged him off stage in front of a horrified audience at Las Vegas' The Mirage.

Retirement has been challenging, Siegfried Fischbacher told the newspaper. "The stage is my life. It took some adjustment. I was really not ready for it."

Fischbacher has been amazed with Horn's recovery. "It cheers me up," Siegfried told the newspaper. "All the doctors say what he's doing now is impossible. I've always said, 'I am the magician and Roy is the magic.' And Roy shows me every day the magic -- the magic of life."

In August, National Enquirer reported that Siegfried & Roy were coming out of the closet in an autobiography. According to details from the book leaked to the National Enquirer, Siegfried and Roy were once very much in love but transformed their relationship into a working partnership and a deep friendship.
