Obama Speaks Up Against Prop 8

on 11-03-2008 09:55

Barack Obama

In an appearance on MTV this weekend, Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama spoke up against Proposition 8 while saying he still believes marriage is between a man and a woman.

"I've stated my opposition to this. I think [Prop 8 is] unnecessary. I believe marriage is between a man and a woman. I am not in favor of gay marriage. But when you start playing around with constitutions, just to prohibit somebody who cares about another person, it just seems to me that's not what America's about. Usually, our constitutions expand liberties, they don't contract them," Obama said.

1. Pay attention to your vote!
Obama is AGAINST gay marriage! Libertarian Bob Barr is FOR gay marriage on the Federal Level. So if being married is important to you, let the candidates know when you go to vote NOV 4 If you want an angry black woman as First Lady, then live with your choice. This election is not a slam dunk for anyone.
