| Reality Cutie Denies Gay Claims |
Young heartthrob Austin Drage says he's sorry to disapoint his gay fan base but that aussie gay mag DNA was wrong when "outing" him as openly gay this weekend. DNA wrote about Austin, a star of the UK music talent show The X-Factor: "Multimedia star from the UK, Austin Drage appeared in the Guy Ritchie movie Snatch as well as on TV in Casualty and The Bill... Openly gay, his main love is music. And he appeared for a time as part of the band 5Boyz." While gay fans have flooded Austin with supportive messages, he said he felt he should speak out against the claims: "I am sorry to disappoint but I am not gay. But I am very flattered to have a gay fan base. And I appreciate all the support I have been getting while on The X Factor." Austin gained a gay following when he appeared on the E4 show Boys Will Be Girls two years ago in which he was challenged to perform in drag with two other men as a 'girlband' called The Honey Trapz in an attempt to fool music bosses.
