| No Male Dance Partner for Lance Bass |
ABC has effectively shut down rumors that gay boybander Lance Bass could be getting a male dance partner when Dancing with the Stars kicks off its seventh season on Monday, Sept. 22. The network officially announced the cast lineup Monday, which, in addition to Lance Bass, includes soap star Susan Lucci, recent Beijing Olympics gold medal winner Misty May-Treanor, and Kim Kardashian. The cast also boasts the oldest-ever competitor with actress Cloris Leachman, 82, and the youngest-ever competitor with Hannah Montana actor Cody Linley, 18. Dancing with the Stars producer Conrad Green tells People magazine that this season may be one of the show's best yet, with "tons of people might be contenders right down to the last week. That's what people want – lots of competition and unpredictable things happening." Here's the list of celebrity contestants and their professional dance partners: • Toni Braxton, singer, 40, and season one DWTS champ Alec Mazo Last update: 01-29-2009 18:30
