| Ellen & Portia's Wedding Album |
People magazine is featuring Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi's wedding on the cover and inside their newest issue, which will be available on the newsstands Friday. The newlyweds share their big day with the magazine and offer its readers an exclusive interview and photos from the wedding. "What can I say? I'm the luckiest girl in the world," says DeGeneres. "She's officially off the market. No one else gets her. And now she'll cook and clean for me." Guests at the wedding witnessed the couple exchange handwritten vows, both dressed in oufits by US designer Zac Ponsen. DeGeneres, 50, wore an all white suit in her characteristic masculine style, while de Rossi, 35, wore a pale pink gown. Surrounded by beautiful flower arrangements by L.A. florist Mark's Garden the lesbian power couple exchanged rings by Neil Lane. "The love we felt from the people surrounding us, and the love we have for each other, made this the most beautiful and emotional day," says de Rossi. "And one that we'll never forget." UPDATE: In a message just released, Ellen says: "I had a big, big weekend. I got married to Portia de Rossi! Sorry, John Stamos…this one's taken. You may notice something different about the way I'm writing…it's fancy. This is the font I type in now that I'm MARRIED! I do a lot of things differently now …I say, "I do" a lot. For example: Who wants to do pilates? I do. Would you like a Mountain Dew? I do. Do you know why I pulled you over? I do. And that was just this morning. The wedding was everything we hoped it would be. I wish I could've invited all of you. But I have some pictures and video I can show you when Season 6 starts on September 8th. I can't wait to see them too…it was all a blur. See you then. Blissfully yours, The just married Mrs. DeGeneres" Last update: 01-29-2009 18:51
