| ManHunt Founder: Don't Call Me A Liberal! |
Manhunt.net founders Larry Basile and Jonathan Crutchley have earned millions of dollars on helping gay men hooking up for sex but the founders feel insulted if someone calls them liberals, Towleroad.com reports. According to an article in OUT magazine, ManHunt.net is pulling in more than $30 million a year and some of that money is being used to support John McCain's campaign to become the next US president. After Huffington post reported on the $2,300 contribution made by Crutchley to the McCain campaign, Crutchley defended his contribution in the comments section of an old interview.
We love how the founder of a porn/hook-up site seems annoyed about "the age of the internet, where everyone's private life becomes public." UPDATE! Crutchley stepped down as chairman of Manhunt as of August 15. Here's a statement from ManHunt: "It should be known that Jonathan Crutchley's donation to McCain left the entire Board in disbelief. I am disappointed that we have lost some customers, and I understand the anger. It is too bad for the web site if we lose customers, but PLEASE never refer to me as a Republican. I consider it an offense. "Earlier today, at the request of the Board, Jonathan has stepped down as Chairman. Sincerely, Larry Basile." Last update: 01-29-2009 19:19
