Florida Democratic Politico: Gays Are Unfit to Parent

on 08-05-2008 21:52

 Florida State Rep. Darryl Rousson

You think giving your vote to a democrat automatically means you're vote goes to someone promoting your best interest? Well, think again. Florida Democrat State Rep Darryl Rousson from St. Petersburg thinks "lesbianism and homosexuality is morally wrong" and that they are "unfit to parent."

In this recent interview, he also said: "the law is supposed to discriminate some times, in some respects, its supposed to discriminate against social order and anarchy. I mean that's what law is all about."

Rousson is no stranger to contoversy; in 2005 the president of the St. Petersburg NAACP was found guilty of trespassing at the Purple Haze tobacco shop in St. Petersburg. He was sentenced to six months probation.

The case was about Rousson's (sometimes Rouson) refusal to leave the Purple Haze when asked to. Rousson says he went into the store to ask the store owner to stop selling glass smoking pipes, which he said are often used to smoke illegal drugs.

"Every time I asked him to leave he just started flinging his hands up in the air and flipping them in my face and he said 'You can't touch me, you can't touch me,' " said store owner Leo Calzadilla. "He kept antagonizing me."
