Britney Spears Loves Doogie Howser

on 05-06-2008 19:05

Seems like Britney Spears enjoyed her last stint on "How I Met Your Mother" - the recovering pop princess recently finished taping her second episode of the CBS sitcom.

In the new episode - scheduled to air on May 12th - Spears' character Abby falls in love with Barney, played by our favorite kid doctor, gay actor Neil Patrick Harris.

Spears issued the following statement on why she's returning to the show: "I had such a great experience the last time I was on the show that I couldn't wait to come back. I was really looking forward to working with this cast and crew again. Everyone was so nice. Abby is going to have a lot of fun!"

How does Neil Patrick Harris feel about Britney Spears returning to the show? Well, we don't really know. Harris first said he was afraid the show was selling out by "stunt casting" celebrities, but then later stated he was thrilled to have Spears back on the show.

Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) and Abby (Britney Spears) hits it off.
