Our favorite pop diva Cher revealed earlier this year that she once dated Scientology wonderboy Tom Cruise for a brief time during the 80's when she was 39 and Tom was only 23.

"I did date him. He was just the most adorable man you can imagine. He wasn't into Scientology then. I don't understand the whole Scientology thing," Cher stated then.

Now the new Las Vegas showgirl has come forward with some more information about the affair:

"It could have been a great big romance because I was crazy for him. He was shy. He said he felt like such a boob in school and nobody talked to him. We went on a date once for dinner in a New York restaurant and the waitress was from his old school. He told me she never talked to him back in school, but now he was recognized, he got all her attention," Cher told Oprah, in an episode to air next month.

The two allegedly dated for several months but their relationship ended when Cruise met his first wife, Mimi Rogers.
