James Franco, who plays Sean Penn's lover in the upcoming Harvey Milk movie, was asked by Entertainment Weekly how he would rate Sean Penn in terms of his onscreen romances. "The top! He's a little hairier than those other ones, but oh well...," Franco quipped, referring to actresses such as Kirsten Dunst, Neve Campbell, and Catherine Keener. The actor, who's maybe best known for his role as Peter Parker's sometimes friend, sometimes foe, Harry Osborn in the Spiderman movies, said he expects to receive a lot of questions about "what it was like to kiss Sean Penn" when Milk comes to the theaters this fall. On a more serious note, Franco had the following to say about the actors and crew on the highly anticipated movie: "It's hard to think of a director or actor who I regard more highly than [Gus and Sean]. Gus has been a hero of mine since Drugstore Cowboy and My Own Private Idaho. And of course Sean is probably the best actor around. It was great. Surprisingly kind of comfortable and easy. Gus has a very soft-spoken, soft-handed approach, so he just brings everybody together, the right elements together, and then he doesn't really have to do much. It just kind of happens. At least that's how it feels." Last update: 04-23-2008 16:04
