Scott Caan, son of actor James Caan, got pissed at TMZ's paparazzi as he was leaving the Newsroom Cafe on Robertson Boulevard in Hollywood Wednesday and ended up challenging the photographer to a fight before unleashing the F-word.

"You tryin to be nice about it? I saw you shootin me while I was eatin a cheeseburger. Fuckin jack-off. I'll give you a thousand dollars to come fight me, how bout that? $2000. $2500. Ten grand if you'll fight me. Get a real job, you faggot," Caan said and frowned at the photographer.

While Caan's anger at being harassed is understandable, responding with that kind of vulgar, anti-gay slur is simply unacceptable," said Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation President Neil G. Giuliano. "We've reached out to Caan's representatives and called on him to apologize for his defamatory, dehumanizing remark."

Caan issued an appology to TMZ Friday, "I am sorry for using such a derogatory word. I was being harassed by a paparazzi, and unfortunately, the word slipped out. I don't ever condone the use of that word and I deeply apologize to anyone whom I may have offended."

Scott Caan has appeared in several studio films such as Ready To Rumble (2000) co-starring David Arquette, and American Outlaws (2001), co-starring Colin Farrell. He has also appeared in low-budget independent films, as well as the box office successes Ocean's Eleven, Ocean's Twelve, and Ocean's Thirteen.
