Pregnant Oregon trans man Thomas Beatie, who is 5 month pregnant and who's amazing story has gone around the world, is doing his first TV interview with Oprah this Thursday.

"A happily married couple, living in a normal neighborhood in America, is expecting their first child. But there's a big twist...the husband is the one who's pregnant! How is this possible? Thomas and his wife are here in their first television interview! The couple reveals the details of their pasts, their relationship and their incredible pregnancy. Then, watch as our cameras capture the ultrasound and get an inside look at the couple's plans for the nursery."

In an email to Willamette Week, Beatie confirms that he will appear on Oprah, and People Magazine, later this week.

Gay magazine The Advocate broke the story about Beatie last week, and had an interview with him. Beatie, who is legally a man but used to be a woman, managed to become pregnant because he keep his reproductive female organs when he went through reconstructive surgery.

Beatie has an estimated due date on July 3rd, 2008.
