The former aide to New Jersey's ex-Gov. Jim McGreevey who made the headlines Friday, claiming he had sexual encounters with McGreevey and his now-estranged wife, is hitting back at Dina Matos McGreevey after she denied his claims Monday.

Pedersen says in a statement:
"Dina is still in denial. It's time for her to face the truth. If Dina wants to take a lie detector test with me, I will sit down with her any time, any place. The only reason that I spoke to the media is because she dragged me into her divorce.

"I'm not gaining anything from this. This has been the hardest time in my life. It's not something I ever wanted to discuss with my family or anyone.

"What I have said publicly is nothing that I have not already said under oath in a court deposition. I have no reason to lie. If she wasn't worried about me or what I might say why would she have ever subpoenaed me? That's the most important question. If she has nothing to hide why am I being subpoenaed?"

Theodore "Teddy" Pedersen, who was a driver and traveling aide for the former governor, told the New Jersey Star-Ledger and the New York Post that he had regular sexual affairs with the couple.

Pedersen said he and the couple had 'intense' end-of-the-work-week escapades which usually began with a couple of drinks at a local T.G.I. Fridays and culminated in a hard-core consensual sex orgy among the three of them at McGreevey's Woodbridge condo.

Jim McGreevey confirmed Pedersen's statements Monday and said that his estranged wife needs to move forward for the sake of their 6-year-old daughter. "This happened, this happened in the past, and now we need to move on with our lives," McGreevey said.
