| Pink Flight Takes Off |
SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- Air New Zealand's "Pink Flight" to Sydney's Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras took off last night with comedienne Kathy Griffin hosting the estimated 14 hour long flight and with pilots and crew wearing hot pink and feather boas. In addition to Kathy's performance, which is going to be taped for Griffin's reality show My Life on the D-List, the Pink Flight will boast a full program of entertainment - such as live performances from drag queens, on-board music, contests and screenings of classic gay-themed films on Air New Zealand's digital in-flight entertainment system. The flight is 14 hours long and the party started already before take-off with a pre-flight show at the San Francisco International Airport. Air New Zealand is planning on repeating the trip next year, only bigger and better, the airline says. Last update: 02-27-2008 15:31
