Scott Rudin, Ethan Coen and Joel Coen collected an Oscar at the 80th Academy Awards for Best Picture for the film "No Country for Old Men." During his acceptance speech, Rudin thanked his longtime partner, John Barlow, referring to him as "honey." Daniel Day-Lewis won the second Best Actor Oscar of his career, picking up the coveted award for his portrayal of a ruthless oil prospector in "There Will Be Blood." France's Marion Cotillard, 32, was crowned Best Actress for her astounding performance as tragic chanteuse Edith Piaf in "La Vie En Rose," becoming the first French woman to win the best actress Oscar since Simone Signoret in 1960. Lesbian fave Tilda Swinton was chosen Best Supporting Actress for her role in "Michael Clayton", while Spanish actor Javier Bardem won the award for Best Supporting Actor for "No Country for Old Men". "Freeheld", the documentary film which chronicles lesbian Detective Lieutenant Laurel Hester's struggle to transfer her earned pension to her domestic partner, Stacie Andree, won the award for Best Documentary Short.
