Sick Church Asks Ledger's Family for Burial Details

on 01-30-2008 17:38

The sick followers of Fred Phelps' Westboro Baptist Church sent an open letter to Heath Ledger's relatives, asking them to divulge the time, date, and place of Ledger's burial in Perth, Australia.Ferd Phelps

In the letter, the homophobic hatemongers say that Heath Ledger himself would have wanted them to appear and picket his funeral. Here's the letter in it's entirety:

Open Letter to the Family of Heath Ledger

Dear friends:

For misguided reasons you are hiding the body of Heath Ledger, and refusing to divulge the time, date, and place of his burial in Perth, Australia, so that we at Westboro Baptist Church cannot attend - in respectful proximity - and conduct a religious service.

Please reconsider. For the following reasons:

1) Heath would want us to appear - in religious protest and warning to the living - that they should repent, "lest they also come into this place of torment." Lk. 16:28. Like the rich man in Hell in Luke 16, Heath is pleading even now for somebody on earth to preach the truth to his family, lest they join him in Hell.

2) Heath himself could come back to life for a brief period to speak to his loved ones on earth, he would lift up his voice in a hideous scream, to wit: "Listen to Phelps! For God's sake, Listen to Phelps."

3) You owe it to the youth of the world, whom Heath misled via "Brokeback Mountain" into believing it was OK to be gay. I say, you owe it to the youth of the world to use Heath's funeral to correct that lie. It's NOT OK to be gay. It is a great sin against God. It will destroy the life and damn the soul. All those whom Heath misled will arrive ultimately in Hell, and they will curse Heath to his face throughout all eternity.

Please tell us the time, date, and place of Heath's funeral in Australia. Thank you.

1. Heath Ledger
The WBC was recently sued after protesting at a US Marine's funeral because they defamed the Marine and his family on their web site and in person. The court ruled against the WBC and told them to pay 1 million dollars in damages. Maybe Ledger's family should take legal action as well. The WBC is not a church, it is a hate group.

It annoys me deeply when I see those claiming to be Christian acting so contrary to the love of Christ. I have gay friends. Really good friends. I think there are churches who make the mistake of thinking we have to agree with everybody in order to love them. That's trash. The church and the gay communitty can have compassion and love for each other and not see eye to eye. I know that Christ probably didn't agree with most of the people he ministered to... but he deeply loved them... not spewing out hate filled garbage like this.

3. The Collection OF Sicko's
:eek First these totally venom-driven sicko's pretend to speak for God. Now they have the sick and evil audacity to speak for Heath Ledger and create more pain and turmoil for his family.

I thought about "respectfully" picketing their funerals as they pass on, but the heat from hell would be too intense.

Heath Ledger was a young genius at his art. That is how he should be remembered and the weirdos of the world need to shut the hell up and let the man rest in peace.

:(

:roll They want to protest at the Ledger furneal because he played a role in a movie. I wonder if they protested "Murphy Brown" because her character had a baby out of wedlock. No Wait, I forgot, so did Shirley Phelps-Roper the "wonderful" "god-fearing" daughter of the one and only Fred (the man?)Phelps.

you know what if i were heaths father

id tell them that the ceremony would be taking place in columbia, and pretend it was what heath wanted.

that way those nasty and awefully pasty gringos would be captured and held to ransom, and no one in their right f-ing mind would pay for psychos like that to return to society
