I'm hoping we don't have to just talk about gay movies on here. I just only saw gay movies on here. Anyway
I was in the bronx last month for a conferance for community leaders adn they showed this documentary Favela Rising (http://www.favelarising.com/default.php) . I think it has to be one of the best documentaries I've ever seen. It was very powerful.
It's about a guy who lives in a brazilian slum his family is killed and he wants to change the area. which is probably the most dangerous slum in the world. Then he gets the community through hip-hop music and Afro-Brazilian dance and stop the violence that has been going on because of gangs and bad cops. then something happens that mess's that up but i don't wanna tell u that part.
I think anyone who likes well movies would like this. I have no clue when this get released but when it does seriously go check it out
