I have so much respect for this very tiny city. People living here have a political awareness way beyond even people in San Francisco. They actually cherish diversity as something they may risk losing any day.

Key West has a large number of clothing optional gay resorts. In fact, nudity is so common that when my partner and I visited Key West recently, our hotel (which was 'main-stream') had a sign by the pool clearly stating: 'CLOTHING REQUIRED!'

Even though Key West is a place to hook up with other guys; there are plenty of bars and other places to cruise guys, the city is so much more than that. The minute you enter the city, you get struck by a fealing that this place is something special. Nobody cares if you walk hand-in-hand with your boyfriend, and no other place will make you feel so relaxed.
