Not only could it be hemorrhoids, but it could also be HPV (also known as genital warts).
A friend of mine recently went in for surgery to have a hemorrhoid removed. Upon removing it the Dr. outed this 17 year old friend to his father, and told him they may be warts. My friend's father about freaked out, but then settled down due to the fact his wife and the boys mother both already knew.
Anyway a week later the boy found out for sure they were warts. So please be sure to get it checked out.
