There has been considerable discussion (..lol being polite here) concerning an altercation between myself and Hottie Chris. I'm now a RACIST. Well I'm far from a racist or any kind of 'ism or 'ist. And those that know me, know this.
A few nights ago in chat Hottie Chris was posting this acronym: SMH. Well, I didnt have a clue as to its meaning, and asked several times just what SMH meant! Infact, another chatter in the room also asked for an explanation. None was forthcoming, and Hottie Chris just ignored or didnt see, the requests for an explanation.
After a while I just did my usual "piss off" to Hottie Chris because I felt he was being rude in ignoring the request for an explanation.
Well the piss off got a response from Hottie Chris. He made some insult about the old guy (or words to that effect) having an attitude (or words to that effect). I responded that he was rude to not answer. To which he made another comment about me or my attitude and again it was derogatory and referred to age or being old (with the usual innuendos) and the slurs this time included reference to my sexual preferences and marital status...lol..
Well if someone can attack another, and use age or being old as a put-down, then its fair game to respond in a similar manner. And I did. I know Hottie Chris is black. So I called him a black asshole (maybe bastard, I cant remember) for being a jerk and not answering a simple question in a civil manner.
Well of course those in the room responded ... accusing me of using racial slurs etc.
I responded, that there was nothing racial to it, just stating facts. Fact: I am old. Fact: he is black.
And btw: Both race and age are viewed EQUALLY as discriminatory and derogatory remarks by most Human Rights boards, commissions, etc. Even Hottie Chris (in an explanation to another in chat, as to what the dispute concerned) said both me and him were just stating facts.
So...now in chat I get bashed for being a Racist. And of course, no one seems to find any issues with another person, and that persons use of ageism or old age as being derogatory.
I only post this..so those interested enough to seek out the facts of the dispute have access to BOTH sides of the story - and not just 3rd and 4th hand info. Especially since some others in chat have now made it their prime purpose in chat to stir the pot.
