View Full Version : Isaih Washington should have been fired way back when it happened.

We live in a double standard world. Blacks can have "Black Pride" "Black Business Fairs" and say things like he said to a white actor, and get away with them.
BUT if there was a "White Pride" we would be called racist. If we had a "White Business Fair" blacks would riot in the streets and we would be called racist. If the shoe was on the other foot and a white man would have called a black man a 'queen nigger" he would have summarily fired THAT DAY! Mr. Washington needs to be fired off the show and it needs to be highly reported in the NON-GAY media, but it will be page 20 if anywhere in mainline media.
We gay people have to always be on our "P's and Q's" with "people of color" but they can say anything they want to and get by with it. NOT FAIR and equal if you ask me! Behind closed doors gay white men and women agree but in public they put on the front that they are open and equal for all.
THE most racist people on the planet are people of color.
A "beaner" can call a white person anything they want,
but if you respond to them as being a "beaner",
then they get all bent out of shape.
If a gay person happens to be, say, fat, then people can say awful things
to them and about them, and no one cares.
If a gay person happens to be anything out of the ordinary, people can
say awful things to and about them, and no one cares.
BUT GOD FORBID anyones says something about a black or brown or
yellow person, then all hell breaks loose! NOT fair and equal at all.
Gay people can be so two-faced.

I don't get it!
If they didn't fire Mr. Washington immediately after he made the slur why, after he took the sensitivity route in addition to apologizing, did they fire
him then?
What sort of message does that send?

Obviously the sensitivity training and his apology were not that genuine since he's now rehashing the whole thing in this article. A mature person would just let the whole thing go and move on. There is probably more to this story than just the one that Mr. Washington is telling us. The fact that he and Patrick were arguing when this whole thing started could be another clue that maybe he doesn't 'act and play well with others'. Unfortunately he might have a hard time finding his next gig if he carries this chip on his shoulder and just doesn't let it go. From everything I've read about T.R. Knight, he is a really nice guy.

Jess Kalinowsky, THANK YOU. I agree with you 100%, and I posted something similar - but much simpler - a while ago in response to the homophobic black basketball player.
It never ceases to amaze me that blacks, with everything that has happened to their people through history, are so bigoted : you would think they would have some empathy and understanding with other discriminated against groups... "We've had bad things done against us, so we won't resort to the same kind of behaviour against others in a similar situation". But no, their attitude seems to be "We were treated badly, so we're gonna treat everyone else just as badly. And if anyone complains, they're RACISTS". Maybe if they showed a little more humanity and a lot less anger towards everyone, people wouldn't find it so easy to have racist feelings for them.
As I've said before, a person's colour is irrespective... an asshole is an asshole.

Jess K ------> THE most racist people on the planet are people of color.
That dear sir has to be one of the "most racist" things I have heard in a long time. Are you saying people of colour to mean that the rest of the people in the world are "colourless".........hahaha
Colourless, if you think "your colour" and not your actions and your words and your kindness, tolerance, and acceptance of people of all races, colours, religions, and sexual orientations is the most important. You need a deep introspective look inside you. Noone goes to hell for their different sexual orientation. However, this intolerance and hatred, these racists comments may help one to get there.
Jess K -----> Behind closed doors gay white men and women agree but in public they put on the front that they are open and equal for all.
So, it's proven now that the persecution of IW is more about his colour than anything he may have blurted unknowingly. You just said it above. You are urging white gays to be racist. Hypocritic then to feel bad about homophobia if you have colour-phobia. So IW was attacked by all the white racist queens that ganged up on him. Woe betide any person target of your tribe. I feel a great phobia coming on........lolol
You need to accept yourselves before others can or do. The complete hatred targeted upon IW has shown that this is a deeper issue and a carry over of deep-seated long-term hatred from long before anything IW did. He's just become the punching bag that is all.
I notice more Isaiah-phobics than homophobics. Btw, If ya don't act scary you won't cause phobia, right ? So just calm down and be nicer to every race colour, creed, religion, and esp the non-gays. Try for equality rather than special treatment.
Would ya all tell, what makes you guys so special or different??? Be nice and just merge.

Beaners? Queen nigger? Is the word racist tattooed to your forehead? Wow! It should be. Sorry, but your lame attempts to use racist terms "in context" only shows what a racist you are. Beaners? My God! Fat gays? WTF? This is a new one. Who has singled a gay out for being fat? What rubbish! Stop playing victim cause you just are not one.
Washington should never have been fired. Even nappy headed Imus is back on the radio. I'm glad the series has tanked. And why was Knight hiding it anyway? Isn't like being gay will hold one back in Hollywood.
People need to stop being so thin skinned and also need to stop demanding that others be deprived of their livelihood for talking some dumb smack. BFD. Get a grip and stop whining! Get on with your life if you can find one.

Jess------> Gay people can be so two-faced.
oops .... I forgot to praise your refreshing honesty. Gays are two-faced ? This by your own admission. You mean they can be sooo racist and yet whine about homophobia, yeah??
Did you mean just white gays or all gays ?? Two-faced as in they whine about people treating them unfair and calling them names and then not getting punished ?? Yet they would see an otherwise decent familyman lose his livelihood and reputation in one fell stroke for using some realllly ordinary word from the dictionary; and it is a word with several meanings. Gays do not have a patent on the word 'faggot'........get over it.
Noone would even notice such words if all the gays had not made such a BFD about it. It is like you're waiting to pounce on people, and eager for them to use such words so that you can hunt them down. Talk about bloodthirsty. Please do not compare the over-hyped and molly-coddled issue of homosexuality with racism and its history. You are lucky to be in this country and this time. Go read what happened to Oscar Wilde and then stop whining and be thankful for your brilliant luck.
Oh, and grow up.
