Well, once again we see the great PC machine go to work censoring speech in America. Look, people, if you look around you, straight men really do have reactions to that when they think they have done something gay.

Rather than label this homophobic, why not just label it true to life. I mean, do we really want our media to present only approved messages and approved content? Do we really want to go that route and give up our rights as we do so?

We already have cities and states banning people from smoking, from selling trans fats, from making inflammatory statements, and everywhere we look people are being asked to apologize for words they speak, right here in America, the land of free speech.

When are we going to wake up and realize that we are slowly destroying America. Some are doing it through religious fanaticism on the right, and some through Political Correctness on the left.

Stop it!!

Gays used to be thrown in jail too. Guess that wasn't homophobic either, just "true life"?

GLAAD needs to get over themselves. The whole world does not and never will live by the dictates of GLAAD. The commercial was silly yes, funny yes, homophobic, NO! Concentrate on getting Isiah Washington fired. With so many gay men advertising "straight acting" when they are surfing the net for a 'hook up', what is the big deal about a stupid commercial. Bless MARS candy's little pointed heads. Their ad agency probably had some fairy that wrote the ad Since of course we all know there is not a straight person in any ad agency on the planet! "Creative people" are more likely gay who work in the ad agencies. So look beyond Snickers MARS management, to the ad agency before you blast them.

Gay people are way too sensitive and need to really get over themselves!

We are our own worst enemy!

This insident had nothing to do with free speach. It was a commercial for a product that went wrong. Snickers never intended to hurt anybody with the commercial and pulled the commercial once they found out someone got hurt. Quite simply a sound business decisicion.

It is interesting to note that if someone wants to get his/her feelings hurt today, he/she does not have to look too far or too deeply to find an instance that will accomplish that task. It seems that there are lots of folks "out there" constantly looking to do just that and then point fingers at others rather than at the person in the mirror for being insensitive, homophobic, or divisive. We are our own worst enemy.

Each person has the ability within him/her self to decide what will hurt his/her feelings. In this case, some found the Snickers commercial gave them that excuse. It was a funny, not homophobic, commercial that was clever and creative. I agree with another commenter---get over yourselves.

Atta boy, MARS. (And I don't even care for chocolate--which is almost unAmerican in itself.)

GLADD only confirms what many straight people think to be true about gays...That we are wimps and overly sensitive pussies.I just can see the GLADD members sitting around eyes glued to monitors and t.v. screens ready to do battle with the incongruity between what should be expected and what really is ok...Sit in Bgay sometimes and watch how gays are just as judgemental as everyone else and are not averse to name calling...And that goes for myself also...Maybe the members of GLADD should be get out more...The dykes should be getting more pussy and the guys should be getting more dick...Political correctness is slowly destroying this country...

I found this quote...The author is unknown to me...No foreign power...No terrorist...No army could ever take our freedom away...It will be lost in Washington D.C. ...It won't take a shot...Just the stroke of a pen and it has already begun .
Wake up GLADD...Stop trying to make the world think that you speak for all of us...
