I’d been having difficulty finding a sitter that is okay with that my 9 year old daughter Hailie has two dads. I’ve found sitters that outright refused to babysit for us, and I’ve found some that say they are ok, but then there’s some sort of snarky comment made behind our back to my kid. Anyway, I’ve solved the problem, I found an interview about http://www.caresquare.com/ which is a service that connects caregivers and parents in the bay area. The site is set up with non-gender specific language and definitely carries the care for same-sex parents through the entire design. I signed up and wrote in my profile some pretty staunch words about acceptance being necessary for a babysitter, they hooked me up with the best sitter I've ever had. Anyway, just thought I’d pass this along because the more people that join the larger the pool of sitters/parents becomes.

if i lived near you, i'd consider watching her. i do a little babysitting myself. 12 year old girl i've watched since she was 7.5 years old :) (and her pets, lol) i have no problem with a kid's parents as long as that kid is being cared for to the best of his/her parent's ability

the attitude people has because she has 2 daddies is unfair to her and to you. she's 9- she's not in charge of her parents

Wow that's a bit mean.
