I try to patronize as many gay establishments as possible...

But gay resorts or hotels are another story...They are not for everyone...

After a day or so I started to be uncomfortable..Getting cruised at breakfast. lunch and dinner...Walking down the halls, seeing doors open, sometimes guys laying on there beds naked...Im not a prude in any way...
I think what really got to me was, people turning the doorhandles to my room at 4am in the morning..
It was not a great experience..My friend and I checked out four days earlier

Maybe you should have checked out the next day. What did you expect, a bunch of little old ladies knitting on the porch ? You chose and stayed in a Gay Resort. Then you complain.

Well, obviously you are a prude. Better stick with watching reruns of Leave it to Beaver.

What i was saying was that gay resorts aren't for everyone...and who says that going to a gay resort means you have to put up with people trying to open the door to your room in the middle of the night?
Is that acceptable behavior just because we are gay ?
And does being gay and being at a gay resort mean that it's open season to violate my space? Or do we just have to accept the fact that we are what people think we are. A promiscuous sub-society. Just because I am not promiscuous? That makes me a prude? And the Leave it to Beaver remark ? I would think something more intelligent would be forthcoming if you felt that you wanted to make a point...

This is the first time I ever came to this bulletin board. But agree with you. I would not want my door knob being turned in the middle of the night, nor would I want to be walking down a hall to see naked med lying on their bed with the door open. When I go to a straight hotel I don't expect to see naked women lying on their beds with the door open. I would like to be a proud gay man. Not considered just another sex object. Had I been in your situation I would have checked out the next day. Good for you checking out early!

I agree with Tony. I may want to be hit on at a gay resort and hotel but not to the point of losing my privacy and sense of security and being harassed. The analogy someone made of the straight hotel with some sort of decorum appeals to me too. And just like at any other hotel or motel, there are guys who are just up to no good - crooks, petty criminals, and may be violent perverts. Hey, I'd expect and certainly hope that I'd meet someone at the lounge or even on the elevator or at a hotel social event but not by having someone forcing their way in my room uninvited. Being constantly harrassed by guys who just are not my type is not a turn on. Of course, I'm not sure if I would merit harassment! lol Of course Tony may be just one hot irrisistble dude lol... thankx for allowing to post my comment.

I got to agree with Tony. I would not want anybody turning my door handle in the middle of the night or anytime of day whether it's at a gay resort or a straight resort. Actions like that give reason for people who hate us to push for laws against us. As for that Leave it to Beaver remark? How Dumb, but it just goes to show you that intelligent Men talk because they have something to say, while fools talk because they have to say somthing!
