Dear Max, I have been looking for a boyfriend for sometime and have had no luck. As far as I can tell, I am the only gay guy in the entire town. I don't know whether I should just ask or what and I'm a little frustrated at myself for being so clueless.

 

It is easier nowadays to meet people through the internet.  If you really want a boyfriend, you have to first meet gay people and go where the gay community is.   Where are the gay people?  Everywhere!  all you need to do is look and you will find.   Search the internet for gay bars, gay meetings in your town. If you don't find anything in your town. Go to as many gay sites you can and place an advertisement in their personals section.  Advertise yourself. Let people know you are available and looking.  Do what the birds do when they want a mate, they go to the highest brunches and sing. Do the same, go out there and tell everyone you exist.  There are a lot of gay guys looking for someone like you. So don't hide and go out there.   Bgay.com offers a lot of  ways to meet other gay men.  Chat rooms and personal ads are a good way to meet people.   If after trying all that you can't find anyone gay in your town then it is time to move.  If you don't want to move, at least travel to the gay friendly cities and mingle with the community.  So it is up to you. Do you want to stay feeling like you are the only gay in your town or do you want to do a little research and change your life. Remember,  we cannot change the present. But if we do something today, we can change our future.  Good luck!
