I hope you can reply to this fast. I
engaged in unprotected anal sex with a male partner that might be a
carrier of HIV or other diseases (I have no information, but I'm concerned
since he is very sexually active, and had engaged in unprotected sex
before). I was the penetrator (active) in the intercourse. I don't have
visible cuts on my penis and the intercourse was not exceptionally rough
or violent. I would like to have some kind of assessment to the risk I
have of contracting HIV (assuming he is a carrier the chances for that,
no one knows). Is there some kind of numerical estimate you can give, to
have me understand where am I standing ? Also what is the earliest time
you suggest for me to have a test (when might it first be indicated) and
when is the latest time I should get tested, in order to be sure I wasn't
affected? Is prevention treatment something you would suggest for me to
consider ? If so, how is that done, and what is it's efficiency? Please
try and give me a realistic estimate, and not a general statement about
the mistake I have made which I will never repeat. Still there is some
importance in having me understand my situation. Thanks
