I went to see my doctor for a physical after not seeming him for over 2 years. nothing is wrong with me. I just thought I should see him as recommended by a number of sources. I'm a 33 year old male in pretty good shape. the visit was very brief and the doctor asked me more than once what was wrong. for the exam I had a paper gown on plus my underwear. so he did the usual checks and when it came time for my genital exam he put an additional paper sheet over me and had me reach under and pull my underwear down. he never visually inspected me, he just reached under and felt for any abnormalities on my testicles. shouldn't my doc have visually examined all of me. what's up with all those covers? should I be concerned that my doc isn't being thorough enough? and how do I tell him what I think he should be doing. he also didn't ask about my sex life with is very active and sometimes a tad risky. advice?

 

Unfortunately, some Doctors nowadays are very concern about time/money and how fast they can see their patients.  It sounds like your doctor did not do his job properly. Remember, you are paying him and you are his patient. So tell him exactly what you think, in a nice way of course, and if he does not do a complete exam, find another doctor. Remember, it is your body and your health so don't be afraid to say what's on your mind and always trust your gut feeling. Sometimes it pays to be bitchy... specially if it is about your health.
