Howard K. Stern Files $60M Gay Sex Suit
ATLANTA, GA -- Anna Nicole Smith's lawyer and
companion, Howard K. Stern, is suing Rita Cosby for $60 million over her
new book where she claims Stern had a sexual encounter with Larry Birkhead,
the father of Smith's baby, Dannielynn.
Stern is seeking $10 million in compensatory damages and $50 million in
punitive damages from Cosby and Hachette Book Group USA Inc, the publisher
of the book, AP reports.
Cosby,
a former MSNBC host, writes in her book "Blonde Ambition: The Untold Story
Behind Anna Nicole Smith's Death" that Anna Nicole Smith not only knew
about the sex between Stern and Birkhead -- she even amused herself by
watching a video of the encounter over and over again.
Cosby also writes that Birkhead and Stern collaborated after Smith's death
to manipulate the media and maximize profits.
Stern's lawsuit says that the book falsely accuses Stern of, among other
things, criminal lewd acts, homosexual acts, illegal possession and use of
cocaine, conspiring to commit murder and kidnapping for ransom.
"Defendants have exploited Ms. Smith's life and death by publishing false
and defamatory factual accusations against," the lawsuit claims.
"Blonde Ambition purports to be a 'tell-all' book, but it can only be
accurately described as a 'tell-all-lies' book," Stern's lawyer Lin Wood
said in statement Tuesday. |
