Eva Longoria Wants Some Gay Friends
LOS ANGELES, CA -- Eva Longoria is absolutely
thrilled over gay neighbors Bob and Lee moving to Wisteria Lane in the
upcoming season of "Desperate Housewives" and says it's about time the
neighborhood gets some more gay flavor.
"I am really excited about the gay neighbors, it is about time,"
Longoria told Access Hollywood. "I am surprised we haven't had them
before."
Tuc Watkins and Kevin Rahm play Wisteria Lane's first gay couple, Bob
and Lee, who relocate to the street from New York City. They immediately
start clashing with some of the neighbors, among them Teri Hatcher's
character Susan Mayer.
"They're funny, oh god they're funny," Longoria says of the boys in
their new roles. "[They] have a lot with Teri Hatcher – they are like,
catty with her and they don't like her and it is so fun."
Longoria says that her own character, Gabrielle Solis, has had little
interaction with Bob and Lee since filming began, but she would love to
see that change.
"They're my neighbors. They are actually the house right next to me and
I haven't really interacted with them too much," she sighed. "I would
love [a script involving my character and their characters]. Gabrielle
should be friends with the gays." |
