Ugly Betty with Musical Episode
HOLLYWOOD, CA -- As if Ugly Betty
wasn't gay enough already, the fagulous ABC hit show is stepping it up
another notch by going Broadway and doing a musical comedy episode this
coming season.
According to Broadwayworld.com, the show has reached out to secure the
talents of Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman (Hairspray, upcoming Catch Me
If You Can) and director/choreographer Jerry Mitchell (Legally Blonde,
Hairspray, Broadway Bares) for the episode.
This should be perfect for the show, which is known for its many stage
actors in the cast: Vanessa Williams, Michael Urie, Tony Plana, Patti
LuPone, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Kristen Chenoweth have all theater
backgrounds.
And it will be perfect for Mark Indelicato's character Justin Suarez,
Betty's musical fanatic young nephew on the show. |
