Rupert Everett Sex Shocks Brits
LONDON, UK -- Openly gay Hollywood actor
Rupert Everett is in hot water after making "inappropriate" comments
about indulging in sexual activity on a live BBC morning show.
Speaking about his youth on BBC One's Breakfast program, Everett
recalled visiting provincial cinemas.
The 48-year-old Shrek star
elaborated about the kind of things that would take place between
couples in the back row of the "dark and sexy" theatres.
Horrified hosts Suzanna Reid and Charlie Stayt swiftly steered Everett
off the risquι topic, reminding the actor that the interview was going
out at 9.09am.
Everett made no further reference to the activities in the course of the
interview, during which he promoted his autobiography, Red Carpets and
Other Banana Skins, and his role as the headmistress in the upcoming
modern version of St Trinian's.
A BBC spokesman said that regrettably the BBC had no control over what
guests said on air, and that the inclusion of "inappropriate" comments
"sometimes happens on live broadcasts".
Everett, the Another Country and My Best Friend's Wedding star, caused
another incident on the BBC last September when he cursed on the air
during a Radio show. |
