Reality Star Jason Wahler with Homophobic
Outburst
SEATTLE, WA -- Reality TV star Jason Wahler
spawned a number of homophobic and racist slurs when apprehended by a
police officer after he punched a hotel security guard and passed out
drunk in a hallway, AP reports.
Wahler, 20, who starred on MTV's "The Hills" and "Laguna Beach" was
arrested early Sunday for assault and trespassing. This is the troubled
reality star's third arrest since September, when he punched a city
worker and tow-truck driver in Los Angeles. Wahler was also arrested in
March for underage drinking and resisting a public officer.
In
the incident Sunday, police officers responded to a call from the
Waterfront Marriott hotel where a security guard told them there had
been an altercation in the lobby, and that someone wrestled with Wahler
to restrain him.
The scurity guard had told Wahler to settle down or leave but instead Wahler
punched the guard in the mouth. Another person managed to restrain Wahler and
removed him from the premises, but Wahler came back shortly after.
When the police came to the hotel, they found Wahler passed out on the
third floor. They woke him up, and he "repeatedly" called Officer C.
DePina, a "n-----" and a "f-----," DePina wrote in the report. "Wahler
stated he was rich and would have my ass. Wahler made vague threats to
assault officers."
The city attorney's office has 20 days to file charges.
