Anna Nicole Smith to be Buried in the
Bahamas
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL -— Two weeks after Anna
Nicole Smith died in a hotel room at the Seminole Hard Rock Cafe &
Casino in Hollywood, Florida, a lawyer decided Thursday that the former
model and reality star will be buried in the Bahamas, alongside her dead
son.
Circuit Judge Larry Seidlin granted Attorney Richard Milstein, who is
the court-appointed guardian of Smith's 5-month-old daughter, the
custody of Smith's remains and the attorney announced his decision soon
after.
"It
is our intention to have Anna Nicole Smith buried in the Bahamas with
her son," Richard Milstein said outside the courthouse.
Virgie Arthur, Smith's estranged mother, wanted Anna Nicole's remains to
be buried in a family plot in her native Texas, while Howard K. Stern,
Smith's boyfriend, claimed that Smith wanted to be buried in the Bahamas
with her son, Daniel, who died on the island in 2006.
