'The View' Ratings Soar with Rosie

Los Angeles, CA -- After adding Rosie O'Donnell last fall, 'The View' has drawn the biggest audience in its nearly 10-year history, according to the latest daytime ratings from Nielsen Media Research.

'The View' averaged 4.2 million viewers for the week of Jan. 15-19. The previous high, of 4.1 million, was posted nearly three years ago. Overall, ABC said, View viewership is up 15 percent this season.

Maybe not too surprising, the rating spikes seem to go hand in hand with Rosie's confrontations with everything from Donald Trump's Miss USA pageant scandal to Kelly Ripa's Clay Aiken remarks.
