Grey's Anatomy star Isaiah Washington has
been released from a rehabilitation facility where he over the last week
has been receiving anger management counseling for his repeated use of a
homophobic slur.
Washington, who plays Dr. Preston Burke on the hit series, is expected
to return to the set Thursday but will continue to receive outpatient
counseling.
Washington
called co-star T.R. Knight a "faggot" while arguing with another cast
member, Patrick Dempsey, on the set of 'Grey's Anatomy' in October. He
also used the word during a press happening at the Golden Globes in
January.
T.R. Knight decided to come out of the closet following the incident.
