"Grey's" Katherine Heigl Disgusted by Homophobic Co-Star

LOS ANGELES, LA -- "Grey's Anatomy" star Isaiah Washington managed to use the faggot word again in the Golden Globes press room on Monday night and his co-star Katherine Heigl lashed out at him in disgust.

In what he claims was an effort to set the record straight after homophobic remarks he allegedly made against gay co-star T.R. Knight on the set of "Grey's Anatomy" in October, Washington managed to use the faggot word again, saying "No, I did not call T.R. a faggot. Never happened, never happened."

Co-star Katherine Heigl, who is also one of T.R. Knight's best friends, was chocked by the remarks. "I'm going to be really honest right now, he needs to just not speak in public. Period. I'm sorry, that did not need to be said, I'm not okay with it," she told Access Hollywood.

"I don't think [Washington] means it the way he comes off…But, T.R. is my best friend. I will throw down for that kid. I will beat you up. I will use every ounce of energy I have to take you down if you hurt his feelings," she said.

Katherine also said that she believed the comments were really hurtful for T.R. Knight, saying she couldn't see how they could not be under the circumstances.
