Melissa Etheridge & Wife Have Twins

Rocker Melissa Etheridge and her partner Tammy Etheridge (former Lynn Michaels) are celebrating after becoming parents to twins. Tammy Etheridge gave birth to the twins (a boy and a girl) on Tuesday and the couple have decided to name the son Miller Steven and the daughter Johnnie Rose.

The couple released the happy news in a statement on Etheridge's official website Friday:

"The creation of life brings about immeasurable love, and pours hope into the future... The joy will help carry us through our upcoming sleepless nights."

Melissa and Tammy, who were married in a same-sex ceremony in 2003, have decided not to identify the biological father of the twins.

Melissa has two children, fathered by rocker David Crosby, from a previous relationship.
