Will & Grace Ends in May
LOS ANGELES, CA -- NBC announced on Sunday that they
are taking "Will & Grace" off the air in May, thereby confirming a rumor
that has been going around for a long time that this would be the last
season for the groundbreaking TV series.
"It is a bittersweet moment for all of us at NBC to confirm that this will
be the final season of the comedy 'Will & Grace,'" said NBC Entertainment
President Kevin Reilly in a Sunday night statement that also announced the
cancellation of "The West Wing".
 "Will
& Grace" will have a two-hour grand finale Thursday, May 18, with the
first hour being retrospective. There are rumors about a wedding and a
baby, but nothing more specific has come out.
"Will & Grace" has been running for 8 years and has been a major success
for NBC. The series was the first successful comedy series build around
major gay characters.
