Three Arrested in UK Hate Murder Case
LONDON, UK -- Three teenagers, a 13-year-old boy and
two 17-year-olds, were arrested and bailed in connection with the murder
of a 24-year-old man in south London on Oct. 15, judged by police as a
homophobic attack.
The three, whose names weren't disclosed, were initially arrested over a
suspected car crime early Monday morning but were later questioned in
connection with the murder of Jody Dobrowski, who was found unconscious on
Clapham Common just after midnight on Oct 15. He died 10 hours later in
hospital, the Metropolitan Police said in a statement.
The
three were released on bail and must return to a police station in late
November, police said. Two further men are wanted in connection with the
death, police said today.
Dobrowski, who came from Newham, east London, and worked as a bar manager
in Camden in the north of the capital, died of "severe head, neck and
facial injuries." The incident is being treated as a homophobic attack,
according to the Serious Crime Directorate.
