
Abbey Hosts New Stand-Up Comedy Series on
Logo
WEST HOLLYWOOD (U.S. Newswire) -- Stand-up comedy fans
across the entire LGBT community can now tune in to see their favorite
acts in exclusive new performances when Logo debuts its original comedy
series Wisecrack. Filmed exclusively for Logo at the legendary West
Hollywood hot spot The Abbey Food and Bar, Wisecrack highlights the
hilarity of great comedians popular within the LGBT community and beyond.
The weekly series kicks off Thursday, July 28 at 10 p.m. and continues on
subsequent Thursday nights. Wisecrack's premiere season includes six
original half-hour episodes featuring full-length performances from Judy
Gold, Alec Mapa, Vicki Shaw, Miss Coco Peru, Doug Holsclaw and Page
Hurwitz.
The Abbey also hosts numerous charity events throughout the year,
including "The Envelope Please," its annual Oscar night benefit for APLA
and "Breakfast for the Stars" for AIDS Walk Los Angeles.
Other accolades include: ZAGAT 2005/06 Guide's "What's Hot" and "Most
