-- Pop legend Elton John and his long-term partner David Furnish have finally set the date for their wedding.
The couple, who have been together for 11 years, say they are going to tie the knot on December 21.
Sir Elton said: "The first date we can get married is on December 21. We are definitely going to do it and we're not going to do it in secret."
Civil gay partnerships will become legal in the UK December 5. People entering into legal domestic partnerships must publicly announce their plans at least 15 days in advance.
Elton has earlier stated that "Meeting David has been the greatest thing to happen to me. Yes, we spend a lot of time apart and it's hard, but we make it work."
