Kelly Osbourne Drives Gay Fans Crazy
New York, NY ()
-- Kelly Osbourne chose the Roxy nightclub in New York City last Saturday, April 23, for the live debut of 3 songs from her upcoming album,
Sleeping In The Nothing. The singer’s set, a screaming success with the more than 2000 fans in attendance, included her performance of her new single,
“One Word.” Remixes of the song have been shaking groove things in gay clubs all over the U.S. for the last several weeks. In addition to the throngs of frenzied Kelly fans showing their love, the singer’s parents, Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, also dropped by to lend their support.
The follow-up to her breakthrough debut, 2004's Changes (Sanctuary), Sleeping In The Nothing was produced by renowned hit maker Linda Perry (Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani). Creating a clever hybrid of electronica melded with just the right touch of attitude, the new CD is a musical departure from the more rock-oriented sound of her debut. Kelly sounds right at home among the more rhythmic, beat-driven aural soundscapes of
Sleeping In The Nothing, creating a sincere sound that is impressive for both its musicality and its confidence. The CD includes a number of pop gems co-written by Kelly herself, many of the lyrics reflecting her own unique perspective on life, celebrity, and the pursuit of happiness.
Sleeping In The Nothing will be in stores on June 7.
