With the
patience of Penelope waiting for Odysseus, Romeo has been pining for the
remake of the camp classic Valley of the Dolls, which Hollywood has
been promising for the last 10 years or so.
And while it may be too early to get excited, rumblings about that remake
have begun to surface once again.
The new go-round of rumors has Anne Hathaway being cast as chilly New
England beauty Anne Welles, Lindsay Lohan as the talented but
drug-addicted Neely O'Hara, and Sharon Stone as conniving, tough-talking,
over-the-hill starlet Helen Lawson. (They're also talking about Jessica
Simpson as unlucky sex symbol Jennifer North, but surely they can do
better than that.)
It's all in the gossip stage at this point, of course, but Romeo will keep
a candle burning.
