Is Sienna Miller in Vogue?
If you were one of the
handful of people who caught Sienna Miller as doomed Warhol superstar Edie
Sedgwick in Factory Girl, you might recall that one of the
supporting characters was legendary Vogue magazine editrix Diana
Vreeland, played in the film by Illeana Douglas.
The real-life Vreeland was a larger-than-life fashion maven who shaped and
influenced the styles of generations of American women.
Now comes word that Vreeland herself will be the subject of a new movie,
and Miller is at the top of the wish list to play her.
One of the producers behind Unzipped, the hilariously revealing
documentary about gay fashionista Isaac Mizrahi, hopes to bring Vreeland's
memoir, D.V., to the screen.
No word yet on when the film might go into production, but cross your
fingers that it's as glamorous as its subject matter.
