David E. Kelley Works The Wedding Store
The man behind
Ally McBeal and Boston Legal is back - and he's got
marriage on his mind.
Fox has committed to a 13-episode midseason series from David E.
Kelley called The Wedding Store, a romantic sitcom about a
group of wedding planners doing whatever it takes to keep their clients
together for life - or at least until the limo pulls away from the
reception.
There are no stated plans for the series to feature any gay
wedding-planner characters or same-sex-nuptial plotlines, but it seems
unlikely - not to mention completely unrealistic - that it wouldn't.
And it's not like the show's going to air on PAX. No premiere date has
been set, but look for it to walk down the aisle sometime in the next
few months.
